The FPC safety brake is a mechanical unit designed to prevent accidental falls in any motorized rack and pinion lifting mechanism.
Among those that stand out are construction elevators, work platforms, forklifts and wind towers.
This safety brake can also be mounted on lifting systems powered by chains, pulleys or drums. This FPC safety brake, as the name suggests, completely stops the load at the moment of overspeed.
When does it act?
The Overspeed safety brake system FPC only acts when the descent speed is higher than a previously determined value.
The sensing elements act under the action of centrifugal force and lock the follower pinion against the structure.
The blocking is produced in a cushioned way, the platform being immobilized once braked.
Automatic Reset
By operating the mechanism in the opposite direction to that of the lock. By raising the platform a few centimeters, the FPC safety brake returns to its original state.
Allowing its use immediately without the need for intervention by any operator.
Characteristics
Maximum load: up to 9000 Kg. (7000Nm)
Maximum speed: more than 120 m / min.
Centrifugal progressive lock, without trigger
Automatic reset: The procedure to reset the brake consists only of raising the elevator a few centimeters
The brake is operational again without the need for any type of manipulation
Easy accessibility to the microswitch
Different construction possibilities: one output shaft, two shafts for double-mast hoists and hollow shaft
One-way or two-way
