The electromagnetic brake with permanent magnet FIP

The electromagnetic brake with permanent magnet FIP is basically formed by an inductor core, which consists of the permanent magnet, the coil and the friction material and the induced assembly, made up of the induced disc itself with a membrane spring.

In a state of “rest” without current, they are slowed down by the magnetic field exerted by the magnet. By giving current to the coil (normally 24 Vdc), it cancels the force of the magnet and brakes.

The permanent magnet attracts the induced assembly, deforming the spring-membrane and causing braking between the induced disc and the friction material. When applying a voltage (normalized to 24 Vdc –1 / + 2 V.) to the coil, (ED100%), it creates a magnetic field that cancels that of the permanent magnet, so the armature is displaced by the action of the spring- membrane stopping braking and no residual torque.

Make sure that the two friction surfaces are free of grease or oil, since their presence reduces the braking torque.

It is also very important for the correct operation of the set that the supply voltage is as close as possible to the nominal one. Attention to polarity: Red Cable +. To the pulley, pinion to which it is attached, it is necessary to make some holes to retract the heads of the rivets. In construction 1.1, the armature assembly must be mounted centered only by the bolts themselves, and no centering reps can be carried out.

Characteristics:

Compatible with most manufacturers.

Small dimensions.

Very versatile, easily adapting to your applications.

The electromagnetic brake with permanent magnet FIP can be used for different types of machinery, such as:

Low inertia motors.

Servomotors.

Packaging Machines.

Summary
Permanent magnets brake FIP
Article Name
Permanent magnets brake FIP
Description
The electromagnetic brakes with permanent magnets type FIP, are formed basically by a permanent magnet and a coil. In "idle" state without current, they are braked by the magnetic field exerted by the magnet. When the coil is energized (normally 24 Vdc), it cancels the force of the magnet and de-energizes it.
