LPC highly sensitive mechanical friction torque limiter

LPC torque limiters are mechanisms designed to absorb excess loads in any kind of machines, and therefore act as mechanical “fuses”.

Their structure with helical springs gives them great regulation sensitivity and allows them to absorb wear without any discernible modification in the controlled torque.

In addition to being highly sensitive thanks to their helical springs, these limiters allow high torques and, like the LPC limiters, when the torque is surpassed, a sliding motion takes place between the sprocket wheel, pulley, etc. and the friction discs.

LPB torque limiters are mechanisms designed to absorb excess loads in any kind of machine. They are not friction limiters, and their main features are:

• When the controlled torque is exceeded, one of their parts moves, next to which a micro breaker can be installed, able to stop the entire transmission by means of an electric signal when it detects movement.
• Once the problem has been detected and solved, when the movement starts, the limiter makes it possible to recover the mechanical synchronism for which it is build. Normally, it is 360º; other configurations are manufactured upon order.
